Funding your enterprise through grants and loans can be difficult. Listed below are funding websites and other organisations that include funding on their sites. Some sites offer the opportunity to register with them for the latest funding updates.

If you think you have found a potential funder, it’s advisable to contact the organisation directly as each funder will have their own criteria and time scales relating to their fund. Don’t forget to contact Banks. The list of Banks who offer support to social enterprises can be found on the A-Z.

lotteryfunding.org.uk - this site covers the consolidated new lottery schemes this year (2006).

governmentfunding.org.uk - this is a portal for government grants from a variety of departments. You can sign up for email alerts.

j4bgrants.co.uk - aimed at voluntary groups and small firms, personal email alerts are included on completion of free registration process.

fundingfinders.co.uk - this site covers all types of funding. It has a small charge of £50 + VAT, but offers other services including bid writing and training.

grantfinder.co.uk - a payment service that has been operating since 1985 and covers most types of funding

funderfinder.org.uk - this is a payment service for software that builds up a customer profile of your funding needs, then lists and sends relevant schemes to you.

fundinginformation.org - Profunder is a site offering a choice of two funding programmes for small or large projects. Subscription charges apply.

access-funds.co.uk - a vailable to charities and not for profit organisations by low rate subscription.
